A 22-year-old Danish woman was accidentally shot during her visit to Saskatchewan. The woman is recovering from the condition. The woman was shot in the upper body near Whitkow, approximately 40 kilometers northeast of Battleford, Sask, while she was on a camping trip with four other adults. The Battlefords are about 130 kilometers northwest of Saskatoon.
Police have revealed that the man fired a bullet in an attempt to scare the animal, but the bullet hit one of the campers. Police said that the shooting incident took place on a rural farm property near Whitkow, Sask., on Sunday morning.
Firstly the woman was treated on the spot by other campaigners and was later taken to Battlefords Union Hospital in North Battleford. The officials have revealed that she was treated and is released from the hospital now.
Officers were called to Battlefords Union Hospital to investigate the case. The police have revealed that they have not laid any charges but they are carrying out the inquiry. Later, they arrested a 26-year-old man from North Battleford, suspecting him to be the convict, but released him after a short time.
