Rana Was Unaware of Terror Activities, Says David Headley

Mumbai attack accused David Headley has claimed that his friend and co-accused, Tahawwur Rana, had no idea about his terror activities. While answering a question about an affidavit filed before a court, one out of recently unsealed documents, he told the FBI interrogators that Rana had not supported him knowingly.

Sources revealed that the FBI had presented a number of evidences to back its application demanding a search warrant to carefully investigate every single property that belongs to Rana although there was inconsistency in the evidence presented and in Headley's testimony.

In addition, the document stated that David Headley had made best use of his friend’s immigration service business, as an attempt to veil his anti-social activities to perform surveillance in Mumbai. It also indicated that Abdur Rehman Hashim Syed had notified Rana about the impending attack in India, during a meeting held in Dubai, in 2008.

Sources have revealed that David Headley had made different statements about himself as well as for others. However, during his two-week long videotaped interrogation, conducted between October 3, 2009 and October 17,
2009, while responding to an array of questions he was stable enough on his statement marking his friend innocent.
